Geraint Lewis
Company Director

One of Wales’ most experienced producer/directors of live events with over 25 years’ experience of working on a wide spectrum of TV genres. Geraint acts as Executive Producer on all Slam`s output, and for many years has also been responsible for S4C`s marathon live coverage from national events such as the Royal Welsh Show (Boom Cymru) and Urdd Eisteddfod (Avanti).

In recent years he has also;

  • Pres directed BBC/Ch4/BT Sport World Championship Snooker and Darts (IMG Media)
  • Studio directed Crimewatch and Crimewatch Roadshow (BBC Studios)
  • Match directed snooker for Eurosport (IMG Media)
  • Elis James – directed stand up shows for S4C (Phil McIntyre Entertainment)
  • Directed S4C light entertainment series such as Sion a Sian (ITV Cymru) “cariad@iaith” (Fflic)“Porthmon, Y Goets Fawr, Y Sipsiwn” (Telesgop).

Geraint was educated at the LSE where he gained a degree in Economic and Social History before embarking on a career which started with BBC Wales, detoured via BSB, before returning to base himself in his hometown Cardiff`s thriving media industry.

Aled Llŷr
Company Director

One of Wales’ most respected features and documentary producers with over 25 years’ experience. Aled is Slam`s main creative force – his insightful and innovative mind perfectly complementing Geraint’s organisational expertise.  Aled is responsible for Slam`s documentary and corporate arm and has also produced S4C’s highlights from national events such as;

  • Royal Welsh Show (Boom Cymru),
  • National Eisteddfod (BBC Cymru)
  • Eisteddfod yr Urdd (Avanti)
  • Cardiff Singer of the World (BBC)

Recently Aled has been engaged as a Features Producer on World Championship Darts and Snooker (IMG Media). Prior to setting up Slam, he spent 10 years producing S4C’s flagship culinary series Dudley (Opus), twice winning BAFTA Wales awards for foreign specials.  Aled was educated at Bangor University where he gained a degree in Sports Science, and also won a golf scholarship to study in Florida University.

Manon Volk

Manon joined Slam in September 2016 following 6 years at Boom Cymru where she progressed to co-produce S4C’s output from the Royal Welsh Agricultural Society’s events. Over the years she has also worked on a variety of genres including documentaries, light entertainment programmes and children/pre school programmes.

Since joining Slam she has also co-produced several series;

  • Chwys (S4C 2017/18)
  • Welsh Horse Power (ITV Wales 2017)
  • Cneifio NZ (S4C 2017)
  • Stifyn Parri – Cau dy Geg (S4C 2018)
  • Cefn Gwlad (S4C 2018)

She is also a key part of Slam’s loan-out team that co-produces S4C’s summer events coverage. Manon was educated at Cardiff University where she gained a degree in Psychology.

Rhys Vaughan Jones
Assistant Producer

Rhys joined Slam in June 2012 and is now a key member of the team. Rhys can do everything – live EVS Co-ordination, ENG directing and Avid editing to the highest standard. He’s also responsible for coordinating Slam’s burgeoning post-production workflow.

Rhys was educated at Swansea University before spending his early media career at Radio Cymru and Avanti.

Llŷr Hedd Price
Junior AP / Researcher

Llŷr is Slam’s best-kept secret – a musical graduate whom since joining Slam has turned his hands to all kinds of jobs. He has keen sports interest and general knowledge– worked on Slam/IMG’s BBC Champions League of Darts in 2017 as well as Eisteddfod yr Urdd. He’s been heavily involved with Slam’s radio series Tra bo Dau, Tacl Hwyr Tudur Owen, Galw am y Marc and a documentary about septuagenarian climber Eric Jones. Llŷr is Avid capable and co-ordinates Slam’s promotional social media campaigns.

Gavin Cox

Long-term favourite freelance employee who’s now joined Slam staff as Chief Editor. Gavin is one of Wales best all round Avid editors – particularly adept at giving content a contemporary look and feel. He has cut most of Slam’s sport features/inserts for live programmes in recent years, rebranded Cefn Gwlad and been responsible for ITV Network series ‘The Harbour’ and ‘The Island Strait’

Rob Zyborski

Freelance Cameraman Rob is currently on a long-term retainer contract with Slam using the company’s Fs7 camera and prime lenses. Rob has shot both Slam’s ITV Network series ‘The Harbour’ and ‘The Island Strait’. He was also recently engaged at the BBC Champions League of Darts and BBC Welsh Open Snooker.
