Bala’s Elgan Pugh is Welsh Timbersports Champion five years running – this year he aims to become the first athlete to win the STIHL UK Championships 3 years in succession at Blenheim Palace, historical home of Sir Winston Churchill.

The small village of Llanboidy is home to Wales greatest ever Tug of War club. Forty years ago they were Champions of the World. Last year they enjoyed a clean sweep at the Welsh National Championships, This year we follow the team’s preparations – wonder at their dedication and sacrifice – as they attempt to rekindle past glories at the UK Championships in Glasgow
Porthmadog Ladies Sea Rowing Team
This year Porthmadog Ladies Sea Rowing Team set themselves a fairly straightforward target – win the 12 mile Castle to Castle Race along the Menai Strait from Beaumaris to Caernarfon. However things don’t quite go to plan and the girls find themselves on the Thames in London for the Great River Race
